BEAM with success

We want all our learners to BEAM with Success, that means:

  • Be healthy
  • Enjoy and achieve
  • Achieve economic well-being
  • Make a positive contribution
  • Stay safe

Each of these five areas has been shown to have a positive effect on all aspects of life. In fact, research suggests they are fundamental to our health, happiness and well-being.

The five BEAMS are built into all our learning and skills programmes. Our role is to help you recognise where you want to make changes and then to support you in those choices. We are not here to tell you what to do or how to live your life, only you can make those decisions.

Here are some of the ways we help our learners BEAM with Success.

Wellbeing information and advice

You can access a range of well-being information and advice from the A4e website. This ranges from self-help guides, fact sheets and podcasts on healthy living options, boosting your confidence, stress management to money matters and fun days out.

Links

The A4e website also contains links to a range of national organisations and networks offering advice and support on a range of health, money, legal and welfare issues.

Impartial advice and guidance

We offer all our learners impartial advice and guidance about work based learning qualifications and careers within the sectors we are accredited to train – be it planning retirement or aiming higher and moving on to the next level. We recognise the individual needs of our learners and aim to provide the best range of support to meet those needs, including help accessing specialist support and equipment to aid learning.

Get connected with your local community

At A4e, we like to get involved with not just you as a learner but with your community and surrounding area as well. There are many ways that you can join in and make a real positive contribution; we would like to encourage and support you with any ideas you may have of your own. Check out our A4E website for examples of how you can get connected with your local community.

Your views and experiences

Your views and experiences of A4e are important to us. We want to know what we do well and not so well so we can improve what we do and get it right for you. There are lots of ways you can get involved and have your say about our services.

Develop wider employment skills

All our learners are given the opportunity to develop wider employment skills and knowledge in important business areas including health and safety, safeguarding and equality and diversity.
